Ho Chi Min City is a fascinating, yet chaotic place with a rich, beautiful history. The team at a21studio wanted to bring a touch of color and peacefulness to this chaos so they restored an historic place, dedicated to the old Saigon-Gia Dinh, a beautiful house which belonged to Vuon Hong Sen.
Saigon House is an atypical residential space with different rooms and spaces connected through wood floors, staircases and welded wire. Nature is brought in through the trees that are connecting the four floors and give life to the space.
The originality of this house consists in the vertical layout and the partition of the rooms on several levels. The interior design reflects the simplicity of Vietnamese life and embraces nature by inserting it as much as possible for this urban space.
The white walls and bright colors are maximizing the space and bringing light in while the wood offers a softer and cozier atmosphere.
