Samsung @ 837


Samsung Electronics America, Inc. announced the opening of Samsung 837, a cultural destination, digital playground, and Marketing Center of Excellence, in the heart of the Meatpacking District of NYC.

People come to the Meatpacking District for the best art, fashion, food and nightlife—and now, the best and most innovative technology. There will be concerts and screenings to be enjoyed by everyone.

Soul Summit Music

Young Music Lover at Jazz fest New Orleans 2012

The Soul Summit Music Festival takes place in Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn on Sunday afternoons, 3pm-8pm during the summer. Always free and open to the public, the festival presents various artists, including DJs, bands, dance companies, fashion designers, filmmakers, and photographers. The festival provides the backdrop for access to music, networking and other activities.

BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival


BRIC presents works by artists and media-makers who reflect the diversity that surrounds us. BRIC programs reach hundreds of thousands of people each year. This event is dedicated to providing substantial support to artists and media makers in their efforts to develop work and reach new audiences.

ABC Good Morning America Summer Concert Series


Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield also hosts GMA’s ongoing concert series, where every Friday through September from 7am to 9am, a special musical guest will take the stage. All of the performances will take place live during the filming of Good Morning America.

Schedule Highlights consists of Iggy Azalea, Blink 182 or Sia. See you there!



NBC Today Show Concert Series at Rockefeller


NBC’s answer to ABC’s summer concert series takes place at Rockefeller Plaza and also features a number of today’s most popular top 40 acts. Performances take place every Friday through September during the filming of the Today Show.

Schedule Highlights consists of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Alicia Keys.




BAM R&B Festival


BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) is a multi-arts center located in Brooklyn. For more than 150 years, BAM has been the home for adventurous artists, audiences, and ideas.

“Only in Queens” Summer Festival

Music, food and fun in the park are what New York summers are made of. So bring your entire family and friends to explore some of the very best of “The World’s Borough” right at your fingertips.

The “Only in Queens” Summer Festival will feature a SummerStage NYC outdoor concert in partnership with the City Parks Foundation. It will also offer a wide range of activities for people of all ages.

WHERE: Flushing Meadows Corona Park – Queens, NY



Coney Island Reggae On The Boardwalk


This free community event is inclusive, welcoming and joyous for all who attend, celebrating Jamaica’s gift to the world: reggae music. It has attracted participation from the likes of Luciano, Johnny Osbourne, Willi Williams, and Brigadier Jerry, among others.

June 12 marks the opening party for the season, things start at 2pm and end at 10pm.



Movies With A View


Is there another cool place to see a movie than in the Brooklyn Bridge Park? Gather each Thursday for their free screenings. Aside from a movie, the Harbor View Lawn offers the scenic background of the East River and light-filled Lower Manhattan. This year’s theme is “This American Life”.
