Welcome to Transylvania! Let’s get downhill with the longboard crew for a brilliant ride!
On the land of Dracula, in the heights of Transylvania there’s a newly road with 10 magnificent hairpins to get you feel the track.
TRANSYLVANIA DOWNHILL is the first longboard downhill competition in Europe to feature a SKI CABLECAR among its 4.5km downhill track. The cablecar is situated just 400 meters from the finish line and it takes about 10 minutes to get at the top of the track where it will drop you next to the start line.
All accommodation will be made at Straja Resort‘s mansions. The mansions are situated literally at the top of track, within walking distance.
The track is probably the best closed road to be skated on, with a perfect balance between fast and technical sections leaving you wanting more as soon as you arrive at the bottom.
Sebastian Hertler, Andreas Mangold, Ludwig Forss, and Anders Inde rode a tight final, with Hertler taking first, Inde second, Forss third and Mangold fourth.
After the race, the boys from Astronaut Soundsystem threw an amazing rave-like party with a huge soundsystem. People partied till sunrise, fueled by the locals’ homemade palinka schnapps.
Distance: 4.5 km
