Having no budget issues when it comes to building or renovating a house is everyone’s dream. The Silverwood House from the north Portugal has some happy owners that were not constrained by any budget or tight schedule. The outcome is a beautiful property, similar to an artistic project. There are few modern buildings were architects managed to create an aesthetic image through minimalistic design.
One of the most versatile material that can change dramatically the way a building looks is the wood that here was beautifully used in various forms and shapes. Ernesto Pereira, the architect involved in the transformation of this property made great use of wood outside, as well as inside the house. Through his design he revealed a peaceful space using pale colors and simple furniture. Both the interior and the exterior have materials and textures that feel very warm and welcoming. The decorating elements are very minimalistic and they could serve as an example if you want to simplify your own space.
