Today I present you three of my favorite adidas Tubular shoes.
The adidas Tubular 93 was released for the first time in the early 90, the Tubular silhouette went out with a bang, inspired by car tires, the innovative design allowed the owners to customize their level of comfort with the help of a air pump. This year the retro design returned but with a modern touch, keeping the original upper and a classic color palette made out of fine shades of white, red and black. And using the new Tubular outsole, a sueded mudguard and matching toe, this mix of vintage and high tech design transform the Tubular into a street ready running shoe that will sure turn heads.
Moving forward to a more modern cut, the new adidas Tubular OG runner shoe, released at the end of 2014 keeps a classic cut and borrows from the Quasa 3 sillhouette, creating a more affordable high quality running shoe. The new silhouette of the Tubular comes with an innovative sock-like fit design and a lighter and more flexible version of the Yohji’s outsole design, the heel is inspired by the sporty ZX7000. All of these creating a modern street ready running shoe.
The last but not least is the new adidas Tubular named “Leaf Camo” arrived at the end of January, the Y-3 Quassa-infused Tubular model is now available in a fresh new colorway. Named “Leaf Camo”, the shoe features a mix of red, brown and olive shades, sock-fix neoprene upper, dark cargo leather heel cage and a featherweight dual-density EVA midsole. This shoe completes every sneakerhead’s collection of running shoes.
