A house on the Mediterranean coast, everyone’s dream, right? One family from Spain saw their dream coming true with the help of Cadaval & Sole-Morales architecture studio. The couple wanted to make sure that the magnificent view is everything they see from the interior of the house.
For the team of architects it was not an easy task because the house had to overcome the exposure to the strong northern winds from the peninsula. Even more, a full exposure to the scenery excluded the direct penetration of sun light. This is why the team at Cadaval & Sole-Morales came up with this ingenious idea of placing ten cubes one on top of each other, resulting in a two story residence that looks out of this world. Each cube is pointed in a different direction so they can catch the natural light and bathe the interior with the warmth of the Mediterranean sun all day long.
The cubes at the front are widely opening the living and dining area to the breathtaking exterior. The interior design is very simple and suited to the specific of the region. The white walls inside and outside were chosen to reflect the light and give a continuous feeling of cleanness and purity.
A Mediterranean dream that we would all like to come true, right?
