We should all know by now that sauna baths are great for our health in more ways than we could imagine. Great benefits on our skin and in relieving stress, something we are all dealing with daily, as well as soothing muscular pains and helping with those extra calories we consumed on a whim. Enough reasons that should convince you to try once in a while, especially if you have the chance to get to one that offers more than heat. The northern countries have a tradition in building saunas and obviously here is where we can find one of the greatest.
The Agora sauna is one of the biggest saunas and this is not only because it has something others don’t: a view. This is something out of the ordinary considering that usually saunas are almost claustrophobic and all you can see is your sweaty neighbor. Located on a Norwegian beach, Sandhornoya, the A-frame sauna can accommodate more than 100 people in a space similar to an amphitheater.
The sauna is placed in the middle of nature and offers spectacular views to the ocean, through a big window. While sweating like a pig, you can socialize, enjoy the background soundtrack and even go to the bar included here. While the interior of the sauna was inspired by Roman amphitheaters, the exterior is a reference to the Norwegian fish racks. The entrance fee is 20 euros with the towel included so what you’re waiting for?
