KIDULT

Oups! KANYE, you've been punked! by KIDULT

“The cities are the theater of a battle for space, a battle in which I try to expose my vision of the world, and destroy theirs. My extinguishers, paint and spray cans are my weapons of mass destruction. They may have all the money in the world; they will never win in the streets because we are the streets!” proudly expresses KIDULT on his website.

The French artist was never a fan of consumerism and consumer culture, the fashion industry in particular. So what better spot for a new grafitti if not Kanye West‘s new pop-up shop in Paris, called The Life of Pablo

On the facade of Kanye’s store you can clearly read REAL SLAVES, a reference to West’s track “New Slaves”. The message is clearly aimed at the hundreds of people that will drop by the shop within the 48-hour period that it’s open.

KIDULT is the one who tagged Marc Jacobs storefronts in both NYC and Paris (only to have Jacobs turn photos of the work into expensive t-shirts). The grafitti artist has also hit brands like Celine, Louis VuittonHermès, and a bunch of others in the past.
