TAKU OSHIMA

ABOUT:¬†Engraving a tattoo on the body is an act that is deeply related to the identity of being, not to mention the example of initiation (rite of passage) that can be seen in many tribal societies. In today’s society, I feel that by determining the pattern of my skin myself, I reveal the invisible self of the soul.
“While you see a black drop in the great primordial light that has no boundaries between him and myself, it becomes a vivid shape, becomes meaningful, spreads, and follows a continuous transition, eventually becoming a design that gives off an irreplaceable and unique impression. Until the moment when it melts into the light again someday–
“You are more like you”
