Celebrating Women’s Day with Gorgeous Tattoos

Being as today is the International Women’s Day, we put together a series of photos where the woman is the main inspiration in the tattoo. Tattoing women is as old as it gets, with sailors having mermaids tattoed on themselves, and then in the 1890’s the pin-up girls went from the big screens onto mens forearms. Soldiers and military fighters would get this tatto before war to remind them what they are fighting for or to resemble a wife or a girlfriend back home. This motif gained a lot of popularity since then, be it a wife, a girlfriend, a mother or just a muse or fantasy.
