The art of simplicity is something we should all learn to create in our lives and by surrounding ourselves with simple, beautiful things we will rediscover how easy everything can become. The pool house La Luna is the perfect example of how beautiful and tranquil simplicity is. Nicolas Pinto da Mota and Victoria Maria Falcon, the architects of this house managed to create a great space of relaxation where communication with nature is essential.
Having the forest in the back and the lake in the front, this house is located in a perfect landscape. The architects incorporated their construction into the natural landscape through a pool that seems connected to the lake.
The house is widely opened to the exterior through sliding walls, thus creating the impression of a gallery linked with the outside. The simple rectangular house integrates a wide living space, a bedroom, a mezzanine and even a wine cellar. The construction combines modern technique with old and traditional materials like the stone of the fireplaces and the beautiful wood beams of the roof.
The perfect depiction of this work comes from the architects: “a desire to humble in front of the landscape”.
