The small, yet creative team at 2B.Group, an architecture bureau from Kiev, designed a beautiful, inspiring apartment in Odessa, giving us some great ideas for some personal projects. Maybe you’ll also find a few good tips and tricks to use for your own space.
Even though the view from the apartment is not very impressive, the eyes are drawn towards the windows thanks to the recessed bookshelves that make you forget the communist buildings seen in the background. After all, the windows are here just a great means to bring light in and illuminate the entire space.
Since this is an open space, the transition from one living space to another was made by using different floors and textures. The hardwood floor in the living room is combined with the concrete floor from the kitchen that is more appropriate and functional.
Throughout the entire apartment various textures were used to create contrasts that focus on the many purposes of this home. The brick wall completes the hardwood floors through color while the concrete pillars highlight the industrial reference.
In the bedroom there is beautiful wall with elements continuing on the ceiling, thus giving the impression of continuity and a greater height to the room. In the bathroom the central piece is the outstanding glass bathtub as well as the sinks that look like sculptures and art pieces.
Have a look at the pictures and discover the many secrets this apartment has to offer.
