Ka Ta – graphics on paper and skin.
She has a background in designing clothes and furniture. Her style is somewhat graphic and she uses a lot of dotwork but remains very fluid as she mentioned.
“See, all the designs (her tattoos) have flow and movement. It’s also what I do with the tattoos I design. I don’t like to close a composition, but to leave it open and sort of floating.”
Ka Ta’s ideas when designing for a client come from seeing structures, patterns and products.
She also stated that:
“The drawing comes without thinking. I feel that somehow, they will get what they need, through me. That I’m not an ‘artist,’ I’m just the pen.”
Her designs are truly unique and definitely worth watching.
