Charles Leval, also known as LEVALET, is a street artist born in 1988 in Epinal, France. He grew up in Gouadeloupe where he first gets in contact with the urban culture and plastic arts. His works represent drawings and installations, altogether. His characters interact with the architecture and they are depicted in, sometimes, absurd situations.
“Architecture supports my work. Then I work on staging the artwork with photographs. Photography allows me to play with the point of view and to intensify the “window-dressing” dimension of my work. Photography also allows me to create a dramatisation within the dramatisation by a including passer-by or other elements,” confesses the artist.
LEVALET just spent his Summer in Spain where he created new pieces in Mallorca.
