The legend of 1000 cranes and Sadako’s story, a little girl who lived the tragedy of Hiroshima, inspired the “Mademoiselle” to start composing it’s artistic and urban works in connection with these facts.
The 29-year-old Mademoiselle Maurice, now based in Paris, develops and creates endless colorful works with origami, lace or embroidery.
Arranged both carelessly and in detailed frame-ups, Mademoiselle Maurice attaches thousands of dazzlingly colored origami works to unexpected places, decorating everything from the ceilings of national art museums to the worn sides of ancient buildings. You can see more of her origami works on her Instagram and Facebook.
