John Rodney Mullen is an American professional skateboarder, entrepreneur, inventor, and public speaker who practices freestyle and street skateboarding. Mullen is credited with inventing numerous skateboarding tricks and has appeared in over 20 skateboarding videos.
Considered one of the most influential skateboarders in the world, the old-school legend pioneered many classic tricks, including the flat-ground Ollie, the kickflip and the 360 flip.
Two months ago, Rodney Mullen stepped inside the revolutionary 360 camera studio of fashion photographer Steven Sebring. The product was an masterfully filmed piece named “Liminal,” which features several new tricks never before seen, and unique artistic direction from Sebring.
Hundreds of cameras were enclosed in a dome and Sebring was able to capture Rodney Mullen’s unique skateboarding style from different angles, giving the final product flare with its spinning shots.
