Os Gemeos has worked at his very first permanent installation that uncovered it on 31st January at Museu Casa do Pontal in Rio De Janeiro. The urban art influence related to the traditional Brazilian art can be seen clearly in Gustavo and Antonio Pandolfo work entitled “Bunker”, an installation made of thick n heavy concrete bunker, wearing one of their trademark yellow characters inside.
With respect to the tradition and the rich folk culture of Brazil, the concept revolving around this project is highly developed by the need to maintain these values. The vision of the brothers is tied up to the frailty and security.
The material used for this main character is plaster, and the recognizable technique -spraypaint lines, using colorful patterns, glitter. The drawings from the inside of the bunker ooze of destruction, war, decay. The created contrast between hues is set by the use of brown ink with yellow man under highlights.
