Last year, street artist PENAO found a way to embelish, if we could say so, a decayed building in Poblenou, Barcelona, Spain. The artist exploited windows and holes in the side of an abandoned building to create a maniacal face.
The mural is part of the MURS LLIURES project that helps pair artists with available urban spaces for the creation of public art.
Barcelona is an important and a reference point for the urban art, not only for those fine street art events but for the many street artists that leave their mark there on the streets.
