In Chiang Mai, Thailand, there is this house designed to be in perfect harmony with nature. This is that kind of project that takes its energy from the outer world which becomes the crucial element in defining the finished result.
This house belongs to well renowned Thai artist, Rirkrit Tiravanija. The architect of the house is one of his former students, Aroon Puritat and the most important guideline was to keep all the trees that surrounded the house. For the U-shaped building the main materials used were glass, concrete and wood. Glass is one of the most important elements since it opens up the space and brings in the exterior. This fine line between inside and outside is what is called the relational architecture because relationships overrule aesthetics.
