We just found the perfect house in the perfect location. Just wait to see it and you will only say WOW. This awesome farmhouse belongs to Mark Palmer that after 35 years in America decided to come back home, in New Zealand.
Once he decided to return he bought a 4.000 acre farm in Bank Peninsula and the house was built at its northern end. Patterson Associates executed the design of this beautiful home and even though at first they thought about throwing in the all modern and abstract look, they finally decided that for the purpose and the environment the classical look will fit better.
Nevertheless, the rustic and the classic are merging with the contemporary elements that make this house so welcoming. On the outside, as well on the inside, wood was the main material they used. Nothing from the inside or from the outside obstructs the beautiful ocean view.
Apart from this weekend escape house Patterson Associates also helped Palmer with the renovation of the farm’s original homestead which is located 30 minutes away.
Apparently they are even thinking about renting the house for short periods of time so stay tuned.
