“I set this track on fire/ I’m here for every color/ Including Black Lives Matter,” raps M.I.A. in her new visual for the politically charged track “Poc That Still a Ryda.”

“It’s interesting that in America the problem you’re allowed to talk about is Black Lives Matter. It’s not a new thing to me — it’s what Lauryn Hill was saying in the 1990s, or Public Enemy in the 1980s,” she said in the feature. “Is Beyoncé or Kendrick Lamar going to say Muslim Lives Matter? Or Syrian Lives Matter? Or this kid in Pakistan matters? That’s a more interesting question.”

Now, the Sri Lankan rapper returns with a teaser for her forthcoming album, which may be the “last LP” from M.I.A., per her tweet last month.

The official release date for the album – which is rumoured to be called Matahdatah – is sadly still yet to be announced.
