What is the actual meaning of Vandal nowadays and how are Vandals perceived by the society? Like mischiefs who are having fun destroying and vandalizing, right? We think, however that this should change because vandals are all for free expression, artistic celebration and street culture. These should not be negative aspects and the newest restaurant of the TAO Group is trying to express just this: Vandal means freedom of speech and expression in all its forms.
The restaurant has an eclectic design that combines both street art and global street culture as well as architecture and food. Spanning on a huge 12,000 feet surface, the restaurant also hosts a secret garden, dining areas, a lounge, private dining spaces and a flower shop.
The Vandal’s walls host not just a restaurant but an exhibition of artworks from different street artists like: HUSH, OBEY, Apexer, Tristan Eaton, Eelus, Vhils and Will Barras.
Aside from the walls that get into the spirit of the restaurant, the chairs were also vandalized reflecting the perfect marriage of street art and the fusion street food they offer.
The coolest central piece is the pink break-dancing bunny. A true vandal bunny.
